I successfully completed 65 miles this weekend in 5 hours (with stops of course). That is about a 13 mph pace, which is pretty slow, but I was aiming for a 12 mph so I am okay with it.
As of today, I have biked 250 miles overall! I also am preparing to take my last test in college tomorrow morning and graduate this Saturday! Very exciting!
BUT Back to that bike...
My first long ride wasn't too horrible. It was painful at times, but I wasn't in pain afterward, which is a good sign. I am glad I still have more time to train before trekking across the country though!
I realized recently that I have a better way to track my exact location at this link. ( http://bikeandbuild.org/rider/2644 ) However, ignore the current fundraising status. I have actually reached $4,000 when my work from the RBC Center is included. It hasn't been mailed in yet though.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for everyone's continued support as I prepare for one of the most challenging and amazing summers that i will luckily get to participate in! I am so excited. Stay tuned for more posts!
